President Obama: Give Us Back Our Basic Rights
Barack Obama,
It is with great regret that an internet petition must be signed by the masses in order to retrieve certain inalienable rights which are already 'guaranteed' by the US Constitution. Please take the time out of your busy schedule to review the provisions of the Bill of Rights and amend wherever necessary the many, many inconsistencies which your and previous administrations have sidestepped the foundations of our great country in order to complete political policy agendas that we fight daily to defend oversees.
Seriously Mr. President, there are people dying to maintain what we have established and when the soldiers come home to learn that their brothers had died in vain and that though we may have 'won' military victories, and plan to uphold our view of humanity by interfering in global affairs, it means nothing if at the end of the day, what we are protecting turns out to be the very thing we were fighting against.
Please have your staff review what, if any, provisions of the US Constitution which have been overlooked and declare any past, present, or future bills of law to be unpassable and therefore void of any legal legitimacy. You ran on a platform of HOPE and CHANGE and WE THE PEOPLE hope that your high government post grants you the means by which to correct these mistakes.

Why is this important?
Since 2001, the United States government has been passing strange laws which seriously impose on our basic rights and go so far as to nullify many of the provisions laid out in the United States Constitution, most notably the first ten, our Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act, as well as the recent National Defense Authorization Act is illegal according to what we as a country have upheld as universal laws since the formation of out nation. It is morally wrong and schizophrenically obdurate to continue to wave our flag of freedom while systematically infringing upon the sovereignty of other nations who do not follow the 'inalienable' rights ideals which we in turn do not adhere to as a people.
Tell President Obama to amend the constitution so that laws which conflict with provisions of the US Constitution are not only 'unconstitutional' but simply cannot pass or exist and will not be tolerated or enforced by any branch or 'bureau' of the United States government or its 'employees' on the basis that they are utterly unacceptable and unquestionably immoral.
