President Barack Obama: Honor your sworn oath to protect, preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States of America: Veto the bill H.R. 347.

Why is this important?

Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, or H.R. 347, is a bill that seems to be designed to outlaw protests near government buildings and restrict the Constitutionally protected right of American citizens to petition the government for a redress of their grievances.

This bill is in direct violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. The First Amendment states in concise language that: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

As of March 1st, 2012, the bill has been passed to President Barack Obama to be signed into law or vetoed. According to the laws of the legislative process, the President has 10 days to sign or veto the bill. Please, President Obama, honor your Presidential Oath, protect the Constitution and veto this bill.
