Sir, you have the power to issue executive orders, which you have scarcely used during your tenure. Please use it to mandate background checks for gun buyers! The vast majority of the electorate will be grateful, and your legacy would be spectacular
Why is this important?
It is obvious that in spite of the will of 92% of the people, including 78% of gun owners, Congress will not find the courage to approve background checks for gun buyers soon enough. The President, however, has the power to issue executive orders, and should at least consider doing so on bahalf of the vast majority of We, the People.
