President Obama needs to give a nationwide address on climate change now. We are seeing more and more weather extremes every year yet Washington and the president are doing nothing. We need to act on this issue NOW.
Why is this important?
The world and the country is getting more and more extreme weather every year with over 40,000 temperature records broken this year along with record breaking wildfires and droughts. The public are now seeing this affect them personally and there is widespread belief that the climate is changing due to the burning of fossil fuels. This was predicted decades ago by the scientists and is now happening! We need real leadership in Washington to address this issue yet the President says nothing and most republicans in congress deny it is even happening. Please sign the petition demanding the President address the country to begin a constructive national dialogue on climate change. We need to act NOW.
