President Obama: Prevent Global Disaster at Fukushima

Dear President Obama:
The Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant is in a state of potentially irreversible crisis. Deadly radiation is leaking into the Pacific Ocean and atmosphere and has already been detected across America. Scientists warn the situation at Fukushima is out of control and that, especially with more earthquakes inevitable, the worst is yet to come.

Please immediately mobilize international resources to
1) stop Fukushima radiation leakage into the Pacific Ocean and atmosphere, and
2) decommission and permanently seal all Fukushima reactors to prevent further contamination of the Earth.

On behalf of, not only our country but the entire world, please act now before it's too late.

Why is this important?

On March 11, 2011, the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami tragically crippled Japan's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, causing structural damage, equipment failures, nuclear reactor meltdowns and releases of radioactive materials.

Since that horrific accident, reports about Fukushima's status and leaking radiation into the Pacific Ocean and atmosphere have continued to be shocking and contradictory; facts about the facility's actual deterioration have been withheld from the public.

NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) is tracking a deadly plume of radiation in the Pacific that's heading toward the U.S. West Coast; elevated levels of radiation have already been detected across the U.S.

This has become a global crisis that will impact generations into the unforeseeable future. We must act NOW to prevent irreversible planetary catastrophe.
