Mr. President: Think about what else the money used to buy two hours worth of political ads could be spent on. And now drop the ads for just those two hours and give the money to someone who really needs it.
Why is this important?
I feel so bowled over by the obscene amounts of money being spent on this presidential campaign. I think it would be a brave and telling gesture if President Obama stood up and said, "I'm going to forgo just a couple of hours of political ads in a battleground state and donate what my campaign would have spent on those ads to a shelter or some other worthy cause."
