Student loans interest are ridiculous ...Sallie Mae is a reap off..I 've being paying an 8,000.00 for years and will never finish paying it cause the interest fluctuates each month and the amount is outrageous from 8,000.00 ..is now 11,634.15. for 2 years I was paying over 100./ a month and it never went down .I stop paying it because of hardship, when I try to make a payment arrangement again Sallie Mae will not work with me. they want a large sum of money to put me on a monthly payment plan i can not aford and still they will not stop the interest...now iam paying 50.00 for now according to Sallie Mae this is just to help me. until i could do more and is not being apply to the principal .is for interest only..interest keeps going up...and until i could give them 1,000.00 up front this is how they going to work with me..I ask them to take me to court cause this is not right and they say no ..they won't do that..this is not right ..this is stealing and reap off to me..
Why is this important?
Stop the interest on student loans...I took out a loan for my son, for 2 years or more i made payments the principal never went down..when i question why ..is because the payment i send was according to SALLIE MAE FOR INTEREST ONLY..this is not right..
