President Obama: Take us over the financial cliff
We as a nation need to allow Bush tax cuts to expire, begin cuts of unnecessary military spending, refuse to negotiate away social programs and put a stop to Republican House obstructionism. By allowing the so called "financial cliff" deal to go into effect, we eliminate all republican obstructions to tax hikes, and can then push congress into re-instating those middle class tax breaks and social programs that are important to the majority of our population.
I agree with Paul Krugman's article "Let's Not Make a Deal" http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/09/opinion/krugman-lets-not-make-a-deal.html?_r=0
As he states "It’s worth pointing out that the fiscal cliff isn’t really a cliff. It’s not like the debt-ceiling confrontation, where terrible things might well have happened right away if the deadline had been missed. This time, nothing very bad will happen to the economy if agreement isn’t reached until a few weeks or even a few months into 2013. So there’s time to bargain."
Let's use the will expressed by the country in this last election to move ahead instead of wasting energy fighting with Republicans in the House...if they won't play ball, publicize it and let's vote them out in 2014.

Why is this important?
President Obama, I am tired of the obstructionism by the "Party of No"! Do not negotiate with the Republicans--allow us to go over the "financial cliff." By automatically turning around the Bush Tax Cuts, we have a clean slate and can then resurrect cuts for the middle class, and re-instate the social programs we really need, without giving in to Republican whims. Let's vote them out in 2014 if they won't help.
