Presidential Candidate Tax Return Policy

I believe a reform should occur requiring all presidential candidates to immediately share their income tax return upon announcing their candidacy. Furthermore a detailed IRS audit should be conducted and the results published for the citizens, if there are any inaccuracies the candidate would be required to pay all back taxes and penalties and fines immediately out of their own money (no campaign funds) in order to make their tax return correct and show that they are following the law prior to being on any ticket for the highest office.

Why is this important?

As we have seen this election year, certain candidates do not feel they should have to share their IRS income tax return with the nation when they run for office. I believe the policy needs to be changed as the President helps set the budget and choose where the tax money is spent.
