Because US Presidents are tasked with maintaining the safety and security of our Democracy, our Institutions and the American people, all future Presidential candidates MUST pass a DoD (Department of Defense) Security Clearance. There must be no question regarding the loyalty of ANY future President to our country and passing a DoD security clearance should be the first step.
Why is this important?
Even some computer programmers/analysts working at Federal Government sites must pass a Security Clearance. Why shouldn't a Presidential candidate, whose hope it is to lead our country, and who will have access to highly sensitive information have to pass this clearance as well? This process would ensure the veracity of candidates and that they are not compromised by a foreign government, corporation, etc.
