Presidential Clemency for Leonard Peltier
We demand the immediate release of the Lakota/Sioux prisoner, Leonard Peltier, who has served 36 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Even Chief Joseph was allowed to go home as he grew old. He was the Nez Perce chief who said, "We will fight no more forever." ENOUGH.
Why is this important?
For 36 years, Leonard Peltier has been in Federal penitentiary for the responsibility of a shoot-out between the FBI and a small Lakota summer encampment on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Many people have called for his release" Amnesty Intl, Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Robert Redford and others. Obama has done nothing to further human rights during his administration. It's time for a presidential pardon.
