The bipartisan PACT Act provides law enforcement additional tools to crack down on animal cruelty and torture across state lines. It will provide resources for better investigations and more strict punishment for offenders.
Why is this important?
Congress should pass the bipartisan Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act.
It will help broaden efforts to prevent animal torture and cruelty!
The House bill is called H.R. 724 and will give law enforcement additional tools to stop animal abuse at the federal level because law enforcement will be able to investigate animal cruelty that across state lines (like dog fighting rings) in partnership with local officials.
This bill already has 284 co-sponsors in the House and is supported by The Humane Society of the United States.
We should work together to support this much needed improvement to animal protection laws in the US.
