Prius for Police
I petition that we replace half of the Ford Chargers on the road today with Prius' or Volts'. The change would it be better for the department’s carbon foot print, show people police care about public image, and that innovation isn't limited to increased engine size and guns. The Volt would be an offering of humility to even the most stone carved Americans and be a step into the Green Frontier. Showing the relentless ambition of the police department to do what is best for the city they serve, threw mental or physical means, this would allow for the police to expand by allowing more environmentally conscience people to become part of a system that thinks like them, or as Ralph Nader said, a system that allows people to "...Bring their conscious to work."
Kentucky can lead the pack in psychological proactive strategy towards a safer future where police are welcomed and respected as solid, personable, and strong characters here to help by any means necessary.

Why is this important?
The Police cars that I am most familiar with, Ford Charger hemi edition, is a car that carries an attitude with it's look. It was designed to express the inner power it hold within the steal frame and in doing so strikes fear into the eyes of people when they see it pull up. People should not be scared of the police, and as police they should be aware of the presence that comes with a uniform and gun.
