Privatize Worker's Compensation Insurance

People are forced to utilize this service when the unfortunate event of injury occurs on the job, they have no other alternative. My experience with this agency was fraught with incompetence, inattention to detail, disrespectful treatment, discrimination, operating outside their scope of practice by rendering medical opinions they are not qualified or licensed to render, and negligence. They committed a privacy breach, releasing unauthorized personal information to a party that could have resulted in a detrimental outcome. When this was brought to their attention I was treated with obstinance, not with the concern befit my issue. At every turn I was confronted with obstacles, delays, and utter disregard for the predicament they placed me in causing extreme distress.

I even requested and was denied a meeting with the Governor to discuss the glaring issues that exist within this agency and how it relates to workers in the State of Washington.

This agency is ill equipped to handle the sensitive nature of worker’s healthcare needs. The fact that they are not regulated in the same manner as other businesses providing like services is concerning.

Story after horror story has come to my attention as I talk with others about their experience dealing with this agency. Please help protect the rights, privacy, health and well being of Washington State worker's by signing this petition to privatize Washington State Department of Labor and Industries Worker's Compensation Insurance.
