Riders have led to the dysfunction of our Congress.
I believe the original intent of "riders" was to have a way to pass minor adjustments in legislation as oversights or flaws surfaced. However, for decades riders have been misused and abused. This must stop: No rider should be allowed to be attached to an unrelated bill.
Why is this important?
Here we are again with Riders to defund Planned Parenthood and fly confederate flags in Veterans' cemeteries so a desperate situation with the zika virus can be funded.
