To: Sang-Hyun Song, President of the International Criminal Court
Prosecute George W. Bush and Tony Blair for war crimes
We, the undersigned, wish to express our solidarity with Desmond Tutu's call for the prosecution of George W. Bush and Tony Blair by the International Criminal Court for war crimes related to their actions in precipitating and prosecuting the unprovoked invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq in 2003.
Under ICC Statutes, Article 8(2)(e), a war crime is committed when a person engages in the killing or wounding of an adversary by resort to perfidy (see also Rule 65). Evidence clearly shows that Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair engaged in a campaign of perfidy, lies and distortions to justify the invasion of Iraq in 2003, which led directly to the killing and wounding of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians in addition to thousands of Iraqi, American, British and other nations' troops.
We call upon you, Mr. Sang-Hyun Song, in your capacity as President of the International Criminal Court, to heed our call and that of Mr. Desmond Tutu and immediately initiate criminal proceedings against Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair for war crimes.

Why is this important?
Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Desmond Tutu has called on the International Criminal Court to prosecute George W. Bush and Tony Blair for war crimes, for their actions in precipitating the Iraq war.
The Iraq war "has destabilized and polarized the world to a greater extent than any other conflict in history," wrote Tutu, "Those responsible for this suffering and loss of life should be treading the same path as some of their African and Asian peers who have been made to answer for their actions in the Hague.
