Prosecution for Hit and Runs
This petition is so HIT AND RUN drivers are equally prosecuted for their wrong doing. They are getting off too easy and more attention needs to be given to this issue.
Why is this important?
Most of my friends, including myself ride motorcycles. A lot of us know of personally or have heard of someone who has died or been hurt by a hit and run accident. The person who "hit and ran" is not getting prosecuted, and this needs to stop. This is a horrible offense, and should be taken more seriously by the judicial system. I believe in doing so drivers will be more cautious of bikers when they are on the highways.
