Reform DFCS and the juvenile court system so that the best interests of children are the FIRST priority.
Why is this important?
My nephew is in the foster care system, and I have repeatedly seen DFCS and the juvenile court make decisions that place him at risk. When questioned, they blame the state law. If the best interests of children are not the law's first priority, the law needs to be changed.
