Protect our 2nd Amendment rights!
The point is, guns aren't the problem, not the cause of the Sandhook tragedy. As a father, I can't understand the pain those parents feel, but I understand how much my own children mean to me. But guns didn't cause that tragedy. A person did. I don't know what was wrong with him, but guns were just the tool he used to get the attentions he craved. If they had been unavailable, he would have used knives, as in China, IED's like the simple bombs made in the Middle East, or perhaps just waded in with a baseball bat.
Something is wrong with our society. But its not guns. Its a system that allows people to feel so worthless, alone, hopeless or unloved that their desire for attention causes the deaths of others. But our 2nd Amendment rights are meant to enable us to protect ourselves from tryanny, and taking that right away won't stop senseless killings. It will just change the weapon of choice. Tackle the problem (our society) instead of the tools used. Protect our Second Amendment rights.

Why is this important?
People are blaming guns for the Sandhook tragedy, yet the same tragedy has been enacted in China with knives. Guns are a reality, and we can't uninvent them. Even if you strip every honest American of his guns, the criminals will still have them. Look at Canada, Australia, and the UK. The people committing these crimes want attention, and use guns to get it, but if guns are not available, they will use knives, make bombs, or go back to sticks. Our Second Amendment rights are meant to allow us to protect ourselves, and all our other rights, from a tyrannical government, and from tragedies like Sandhook.
