We , the citizens and business owners of Ocean Springs, support short-term residential rentals for visitors to our city. Adoption of fair regulations and licensing for short-term rentals would protect our neighborhoods and maintain the high standards currently demonstrated by these rentals.
Why is this important?
Short-term residential rentals have long provided high-quality accommodations to visitors, including our own visiting friends and family. These accommodations encourage visitors to stay, shop and dine in Ocean Springs, creating jobs in our city rather than in other cities. In addition, the sales and hotel taxes would be a significant revenue source for Ocean Springs.
