Keep Hawai`i historic preservation pono and kill Senate Bill 1171.
Why is this important?
State legislation is attempting to open Hawai`i's doors to unplanned development by amending historic preservation laws. Current legislation requires developers to perform an Archaeological Inventory Assessment (AIS), a process of coming to know what is on the landscape, prior to altering it. Bypassing this initial step is poor planning and costly. Please kill Senate Bill 1171
