Protect the domestically abused from gun violence and their abusers.

According to experts, it is five times more likely that domestic abuse ends in murder when the abuser has access to firearms. Oregon State Bill 525 would prevent these abusers, with restraining orders or convictions of domestic abuse, from possessing guns and ammo.

Why is this important?

I feel strongly that we need to do as much as we can to protect victims of domestic abuse from becoming murder victims, as well. We read all too often of entire families being murdered before the abuser commits suicide.
