Protect the Louisiana refundable tax credit for installing solar systems

To balance the budget, Governor Jindall is proposing turning a refundable tax credit into a non-refundable one. He wants the taxpayer to use the credit to pay off what they owe the state of Louisiana and then keep the remainder for the state coffers rather than return it to the taxpayer. This move would prevent its use by most middle and lower income homeowners. I am requesting that legislators oppose this move during its 2015 session.

Why is this important?

Continuing the issuance of tax credits for installation of solar systems for transforming the sun's rays into electricity is a good idea. I have done considerable research on this and feel that it is beneficial for our environment. I am now installing solar panels and want others to have the same opportunity to choose this avenue without penalty from the legislature.
