PROTECT THE RIGHT TO VOTE WITHOUT PHOTO ID
"We need to focus on creating jobs and getting the economy back on track, not disenfranchising voters and spending up to $11 million of taxpayer money to do it. We saw the vote get stolen from us in 2000; it can happen again."
Why is this important?
The right to vote is fundamental. Without it, the true voice of the people cannot make their voices heard. The Republican-backed House Bill 108-88 that would require voters to show photo identification at the polls will SOON be voted on by the Senate. Republicans claim fraud as the reason for this bill. Their real aim is to make it difficult or impossible for elderly, black, Hispanic, youth, and our soldiers overseas, many of whom are Democrats and are less likely to have photo ID, to vote.
