Protect the Stundents & Workers of San Francisco Community College
Stop the Closing of SF City College.
Why is this important?
My son Diego is a student at SF Community College. He is enrolled in a Library Science certificate program and only has a few units left to get is AA degree and transfer to a four year institution. My friend Allen is a union member who works at SF City College. he has been a valuable City employee for many years. The management has put the student and workers of San Francisco's Community College in harms way because of their incompetence at managing the funds for the College.
It is possible that SF Community College could lose its accreditation and the school could close or if it stays open it is possible that students who are looking to transfer to four year institution will find that they cannot transfer their credits.
San Francisco's City College is one of the institutions that is still affordable for workers like myself to send their children to. If it closes down, where will our children go?
I ask for you support for the students and the workers of this important institution to continue their education and for the workers to continue to provide the important services for the students.
