I petition that we have a commission appointed to study the affect of recent laws such as the Patriot Act, the National Defense Authroization Act, and the court ruling making corporations "people" and giving them 1st amendment rights. These unconstitutional Executive Orders have dramatically changed our contitutional rights.
Why is this important?
National and state discussions are focused on our 2nd amendment rights. Many ideas proposed by state and national officals seek to limit that right, because it is arguable that it could increase our safty. Befor we continue to discuss the idea limiting the second amendment. I think we need to look at the recent changes to constitution that have also limited and even voided our 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th amendment rights. Many people might not be completely aware of these changes and this should be taken into consideration when making adjectments to the second amendment.
