Protecting the public from the menace of guns

Enact the strongest possible restrictions on the transfer of deadly weapons, including the Administration's Firearm Safety Act of 2013 (SB281) and other measures that would require detailed record keeping by sellers of ammunition (SB544/HB776), an increased tax on ammunition sales (HB1277), a surcharge on gun sales and handgun permit applications (HB1275), and strengthened notification requirements concerning people with obvious mental problems (HB809 and HB810),

Why is this important?

Obviously, people need to be concerned that there are so many guns in circulation and so many deaths as a result of that.
