We protest the develpment of the grass area beside between Pineview Court and Ft. Lincoln Drive, across from Ft. Lincoln Funeral Home. We also protest development on the woods area between Ft. Lincoln III Summit Village and Banneker Drive. This land has been fradulently use by developers and the Government of DC (Ft. Lincoln Civic Association, Inc. v. Ft. Lincoln New Town Corp., C.A. No. 02-7132.
Why is this important?
Park and forest land is being given to developers to make profit for developing. History of Ft. Lincoln community is that the develpers have used abused the mandate from Persident Johnson to make millions for themselves. The land is serving the community as it is and should be not be changed.
