We the people want corporate and lobbyist money out of the electoral process completely. All Federal and state elections will only have candidates given a fixed, limited amount of funds by only the public to finance and run their campaigns. Corporations and any group of special interests are forbidden to contribute directly to any candidate and indirectly forbidden to purchase any advertising in any media. Corporations are not people and have no rights as people under the Constitution as only natural born living people should only have. All elections of individual members of Congress and state offices will be subject to instant runoff voting.
Why is this important?
With the Supreme Court decision of Citizens United, corporations are allowed to put in unlimited amounts of funds into a candidate's campaign. This is a threat to democracy as it drowns out free speech rights and voices of individuals and distorts the electoral process. Also, instant runoff voting allows for more proportional representation by other than the primary two political parties.
