Charter Schools and other union-busting society stratifying for-profit theft of public funding should be shown illegal (as it already is illegal per the 14th Amendment). People who support charter schools should be treated like other criminals who steal public funding. This is a Civil Rights issue; this is a Women's issue; this is a Labor issue; this is a future competitiveness of America on the world market issue; this is an anti-apartheid in America issue.
Why is this important?
To make America succeed, everyone should be afforded a basic education, not just free but mandatory. Public Schools free and open to all should be available to all between the ages of 5 and 15. For-profit school corporations should not be paid for with public funds and should never compete with public education. Public funding should go to benefit all Americans and NEVER go to a system that benefits only a segment of Americans per the 14th Amendment.
