Off the coast of Floria there exists a island where 4 million Americans currently live. They to live under the banner of freedom and equality. But there is a problem, these people are considered second-class citizens. They are not allowed to vote, they are not allowed a voice in congress. The lack of Federal grant money that is given to places like states has driven its economy into the ground. I am talking of Peurto Rico. In 2012 they voiced there support to being a state and our government blatantly ignored there pleas to finally be considered our equal. It's time to tell our government that our fellow Americans have as much right as anybody else. Tell Congress and President Obama, recognize our fellow Americans and make Puerto Rico our 51st state.
Why is this important?
I have been working to make Puerto Rico a state for about two years now.
