Require animal abusers to be on a registry; pay for all vet bills for the animal they abused; and no longer be allowed to own pets. Along with appropriate time spent in state jail or prison.
Why is this important?
Through social media my eyes have been opened to the amount of animal abuse that takes place in our state of Michigan. It breaks my heart seeing poor innocent animals abused and their abusers getting away with it or being minimally convicted, hence why this issue continues to grow. We need to step up the level of punishment for those who abuse animals and crack down on this ever increasing issue.
