Put Defense Spending cuts in the mix

I would not mind some cuts to Medicare but I would like them linked to a reduction of the defense budget. Get rid of the drones. I don't think we have made any friends with the bililions that we have spent on defense and our two wars. Let us take some of our military and teach them peaceful infra-structure skills so we come into the 21st century. This will give them a new career that is useful for a life-time. Then we could spend some money on renewable energy and give some of our product as gifts in a country that could use them. The Peace Institute could be funded so that it can make a big impact and maybe some friends in the developing countries.
