Myself and the 5,900 people that signed the petition to regulate medical marijuana in Encinitas would like to vote on this measure in November.
The August 8th council meeting that got canceled is the only time the council will be able to vote on this issue in time to get it on the November ballot before the Registrar of Voters cutoff. Please reinstate the August 8th meeting.
Also, if you would like an impact report before voting please order it now to have prepared before August 8th.
Why is this important?
Enough signatures have been gathered in Encinitas to put a medical marijuana bill on the ballot. The only problem is that the city has canceled the only council meeting where they can vote to put it on the November 2012 ballot.
If that meeting doesn't get reinstated, the voters of Encinitas wont be able to vote on this issue until 2014.
Please sign the petition to ask them to reinstate that meeting.
