Put term limits on Congress!
A 6-10 year term limit is needed on Congress, to ensure the representatives are motivated to be ethical and productive, and loyal to their constituents.
Why is this important?
Our governmental system is broken. Our congressional representatives have no motivation to be productive and do the right things to improve our country. I believe they have become career-politicians stuck in a Good Ol' Boy system that is bringing the entire country to a standstill. The congressmen have lost sight of their obligations to the The People. We need a system that is not stale and makes this do-nothing approach unacceptable. We need a system that promotes crossing party lines. WE NEED A SYSTEM WITH REPRESENTATIVES THAT ACTUALLY WANT, AND ARE EAGER, TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The boat needs to be rocked! I DON'T want a system with representatives focused on reelection, partisan positioning, and filling their pockets with lobbyist and corporate contributions.
I can't stand idly by watching congressmen have loyalty to their pocketbook over their constituents' well-being. I support a 6-10 year term limit enacted on Congress to promote constituency loyalty and representation, ethical and moral behavior, and productive and bipartisan approaches.
