Put the brakes on global warming
Focus on the biggest issue of all: climate change. No amount of national or personal wealth--in dollars--can matter when there's no place left to live. Medicaid, social security, abortion, one-percenters or the rest of us--all these things are minuscule in light of the global collapse to come. As the more far-sighted of our Presidential candidates, lead the world toward sane living, to preserve what's left of our natural inheritance, our true wealth.
Why is this important?
Summer 2012 takes the record for record-breaking heat and drought, yet neither Presidential candidate has said a word about climate change as a pressing issue. Why is this? Without a livable planet, how much can jobs, the economy, abortion, or any of the rest of it matter?
