I ask Representative Jim Gerlach to co-sponsor and vote for The Fair Minimum Wage Act (H.R. 1010) to raise the minimum wage to at least $10.10 per hour. The minimum wage should be indexed to inflation.
If The Speaker of the House and Majority Leader will not bring up H.R. 1010 for a vote, I call on Representative Gerlach to co-sponsor and vote for a discharge petition.
Why is this important?
No person who works full-time should be in poverty. If a company cannot afford to pay a living wage to its workers, there is something wrong with its business plan.
