Raise the Minimum Wage in California

SB 3 aims to raise Californians out of poverty by raising the state's minimum wage to $11 an hour in January 2016 and $13 in July 2017. Beginning in 2019, the minimum wage would be adjusted annually to the rate of inflation. The California State University, San Bernardino Raise the Wage Coalition believes STRONGLY that no Californian who works full time should have to live in poverty. Please join us in getting this important legislation passed! Thank You!

Why is this important?

Under current law, a California worker employed full time, year round, will earn $18,000 before taxes at the current rate of $9/hour. This is below the current poverty level and must be changed!
