I would like to change the law so its up to the resident of a city to decide on raises for the Mayor and the City Councilmen.
Why is this important?
Give the residents of a city the right to vote on raises for Mayor, City Councilmen. Last two time the City Council of Westfield indiana has given the Mayor a 10% raise which makes him the second highest paid Mayor in Indiana for the city of population of 29 thousand. Also the City Council giving themselves a 15% raise. I think it should be the residents of Westfield who should dicide on these raises.
