Maine passed ranked-choice voting, proving it can be done. Ranked-choice voting in the primaries, and in state and federal elections will lead to elections that are more civilized, and more representative of the people.
Why is this important?
Maine just became the first state in the nation to change to ranked-choice voting. This could fix our entire system, especially if it is also used in deciding party nominees. It allows people to vote for 3rd party candidates more safely, without fear of wasting their vote. It is associated with more civil elections. We ask that ranked-choice voting be implemented in all state and federal elections.
