Support the prosecution of rape as a Hate Crime and provide justice for victims and rapists.
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because I am tired of rapists being given short, uneven and unproductive sentences for a crime that forever impacts the lives of their victims. The judicial system has never treated women's lives with the same importance as men's, and the classification of Hate Crime would give women the statistical (FBI) and criminal status along with other protected classes.
