Re-commissioning military aircraft for fire fighting

With wildfires becoming a real and most likely a recurring national threat, ask the federal government to create a streamlined process for either private contractors or states, to buy or recieve, refurbish & re-outfit former government aircraft and/ or other vehicles and then expedite the commission of these vehicles to be used in fire suppression.

Why is this important?

I lived through what had been the largest wildfire in Washington State's history in 2014, and this year we've exceeded that acreage. I'm involved in reporting these events and see it all over the west, and also see the effectiveness of timely air response.
