Please reinstate Head Start in Attleboro Massachusetts with funded transportation. Please reinstate the Early Intervention program in Attleboro, Ma.
Head Start was dropped from Attleboro 3 years ago, and Attleboro is exactly the kind of community that needs its own Head Start program. In Attleboro there are many children in families of English Language Learners as well as many children affected by poverty. Please reinstate Head Start in Attleboro Massachusetts because Head Start is a proven successful program affecting individuals their entire lives. Combining the Attleboro Head Start with the Norton Head Start did not work, not only because the transportation for the Attleboro children was dropped; but Attleboro is a community that benefits from outreach w/in the community.
Why is this important?
I have not been personally affected by the dropping of Head Start from Attleboro, but no one is speaking for the Attleboro residents who would benefit from Head Start. Please pay attention to providing a proven program for children in a community that has many English Language Learners and many families living in poverty.
