Redistricting Commission,
The residents of San Pedro a small diverse, fishing and port community are concerned with the most recent iteration of the Assembly District Boundaries. Splitting San Pedro up into two or even three districts is unfair and wrong. Our small, diverse, port community will not receive the representation or equitable and inclusive access we deserve, being cut into different districts. We ask that you revert back to the previous map AD_ADSTHLA_DRAFT or use the current AD 70 boundaries.
San Pedro is a small Port town. We share one public high school and are under LAUSD school district, Western Avenue also known as California State Route 213 runs through San Pedro. We have one main route in and out of San Pedro that’s Gaffey St., San Pedro also shares city services like the LAPD and Los Angeles City Fire Department. We also share the Vincent Thomas bridge.
Please hear our voices and keep our community together.
Thank you,
San Pedro Community

Why is this important?
Keeping San Pedro whole in one Assembly District will ensure our small community port community has fair representation.
