Please join with me to make it clear to our Governor Rick Scott and our florida legislature, that jerrymandering is a morally corrupt, unjustifiable practice to engage in.
Why is this important?
I understand that redistricting is sometimes necessary as populations grow, but unfortunately a lot of redistricting is taking place these days and not for the reasons that it was initially intended for. Redistricting for political gain, known as jerrymandering, affects what parties control the House of Representatives, it could also affect other elections as well.
This is a democracy for and by the people, and the people’s votes should not be tampered with in any way no matter what party they belong to.
