1. Revamp the credit reporting rules
2. Give the consumer total control over who and when someone can view their credit report.
3. Why does a negative item remain no you record for 7 years.
4. Who police the credit reporting agencies?
Why is this important?
There is a difference between the way a bank's credit is handle, and forgiven, and the way a consumer's credit is handled and forgiven.
A company can screw up your credit rating by making stupid mistakes, and it may take years, to straighten these mistakes and errors out, and sometime never. Simply because, someone somewhere, did not present the proper billing to the proper insurance company. These laws should be revisited and revamped to protect the consumer, rather than punish, for some business mistake.
