PEOPLE for RACIAL JUSTICE
Requests you sign a petition for schools and universities to concentrate on education for racism reduction. This is done providing conditions whereby students can choose to study what they find interesting, remarkable, and important.
As Nobel prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz stated, America is kidding itself when it calls itself the window of opportunity. He thinks the notion of a free market is a myth. All markets, including the school/university/learning markets are shaped by laws and regulations. These laws and regulations are shaped in order to create more inequality and less opportunity for those at the lower end of the economic scale.
Our society, schools, and universities have many abusive practices the greatest of which may be preventing curiosity development on the part of learners, teachers, and professors. Frequently when the rich corporations want something, they use schools and universities to train people not to become self-directing, but to fulfill the profit motives of the corporations.
Why is this important?
The petition is about reducing racial injustice partly caused by school and university constraints making students primarily obedient to corporate authorities.
