Dear Mayor Villaraigosa:
We ask that you reduce the bail of the Occupiers who were arrested on November 30, 2011. We believe the bail, which is currently set at $5,000 per person, is outrageous. There is no justification for this amount of bail. None whatsoever. We urge you and the city council members of Los Angeles to reduce the bail immediately.
Why is this important?
On November 30, 2011 approximately 200 Occupiers were in arrested in Los Angeles. Their bail is set at a whopping $5,000! This is outrageously high and unjust. Why is it set so high? Please sign the petition and demand that the bail be lowered ASAP.
