Please remove from the City of Mackinac Island its special regulatory powers over ferry services, and clearly place the regulatory power with Michigan's Public Service Commission or a Straits of Mackinac Ferry Authority.
Why is this important?
Mackinac Island has endangered its own ferry services, first by threatening some with extinction, then charging them an exorbitant fee to transport Mackinac Island's residents and visitors to and from the island, in effect, charging admission to itself.
