Fr Greg Goyle, SJ, author of "Tattoos on the Heart" (Free Press, New York, 2010) has demonstrated that gang kids in East Los Angeles with a criminal recored of murder have been successfully rehabitlitated to gainful employment in The Homeboys Bakery and work side-by-side with members of former enemy gangs. They recently opened a restaurant in the Los Angeles City Hall operated by these same juvenile criminals.
These kids need a second chance.
Why is this important?
Many criminal gang members in East Los Angeles have been successfully rehabilitated by Fr Greg Boyle and are now gainfuly employed.
